The phrase “back seat bingo”, popular in the 1950’s, was used to describe a couple who was getting together or linking up... like the theme of this painting! “Back Seat Bingo” is an acrylic and alcohol ink painting that was inspired by textile patterns from the 1950’s, focusing geometric design. The 12” x 24” canvas features a series of interlocking circles, a pattern that was popular on clothing and upholstery fabric during the decade. The color palette of the piece is distinctively vintage with coral, dark green and shades of grey set against a bright turquoise background and highlighted with black line details. This painting is perfect for spaces decorated in a mid century modern, vintage, bohemian or eclectic style and with finished edges it is ready to display with or without a frame!
