With flowers, gemstones and champagne this painting is a celebration! “February: Amethyst and Violets” is one in a twelve piece series that features an iconic birthday staple. Each months birth stone and flower is set against a champagne background representing some of my favorite birthday gifts of flowers, jewelry and a special toast! The violets were created by using matte acrylic paint, matte and metallic paints make up the amethyst and the background is a custom mix of metallic gold and silver paints, all which are detailed in black alcohol ink. This combination of mediums give the painting depth and interesting light reflective qualities that make “February: Amethyst and Violets” the perfect addition to any space. The sides of the canvas are finished in the same paint as the background making this painting ready to display on arrival with or without a frame.
